Robert, I only knew you for a short time, but your faith and generous spirit shone through from day 1. Forging Men, Capgemini for me and Ernst and Young for you meant we had quite a lot in common. Sorry we could not not have met sooner in our lives, and you've now been gone as long as I knew you for. But my memory of you will last forever, dear friend.

I was lucky enough to be friends with Robert at school….we played rugby and just hung out. Robert’s sense of humour was ever present and he saw the best side of everything and everyone. An utterly reliable friend, with such great values. We met up for dinner, maybe 15 years after school and of course he hadn’t changed a bit. Robert, I’m now very sorry we didn’t see more of each other. I am so very sorry to hear this news, my thoughts and prayers are with all his family.

When I woke up this day last year, little did I know that it would be the last one we would spend together. The illness had taken all the energy out of your body and you wouldn’t get any better. I sat on your bed, held your hand and listened to your breathing, begging and praying to God for that miracle healing! Instead he relieved you from all suffering and sent his angels to take you home. I didn’t understand why, but at the same time the room was filled with shalom! Since then, many tears have rolled down my face, thinking about the future we could have had. The fact that you’re in a different place, just makes me feel really sad! I do have beautiful memories of the love and time we shared, and I am very thankful for the way you always cared. What we shared will never die, it lives within my heart. Bringing strength and comfort while we are apart. Miss you Handsome !!! 😘😢
